The first project to be delivered under Assemble’s build-to-rent-to-buy model, which offers a new pathway to home ownership.
Instead of a typical internal corridor, the building is split in half with circulation via a series of external bridges and walkways. This move transforms what would otherwise just be circulation into a space for community. In the process, it improves the amenity of the apartments, letting in light and cross flow ventilation from both sides.
The building is designed for a diverse population, all ages and demographics – singles and couples, families, kids and pets. We achieved this by providing a broad range of communal amenities including a dog washing area, multi-purpose workshop, bookable communal room, washing lines, garden beds, accessible apartments, and a kids’ play area. Other moments of liveability are seen in simple design details such as the provision for a dog door in every apartment.
